On the YouTube channel, Noble Media Literacy, we talked about selective perception. Selective perception is the unconscious process where people filter and interpret information, focusing on what aligns with their beliefs, goals, and experiences while ignoring or downplaying contradictory or irrelevant date, helping prevent overload but also creating bias.
We also reviewed three articles; one from the right, one from the center, and one from the left, to examine the various ways news is filtered and presented to the masses.
